It’s okay to ask questions before an interview

It is normal to want to make a really good impression in our interviews. Sometimes this will make people nervous to email their hiring manager and ask questions before interview day. No-one wants to look silly, or ruin their chances of getting the job.

However, we can assure you that it is 100% okay to ask questions before the interview, in fact it is expected. Asking questions about who will be your interviewer, or for directions to the building, will not ruin your chances of getting that dream job…but being late might.
