The dos and don’ts of job follow-ups

Securing a job interview is a great achievement. But what you do after the interview is just as important.

SparkHire compiles a great list of follow up tips from various company CEOs, presidents and managers who share the common red flags that can make them reconsider a candidate.

They also provide a guide on how to approach the follow-up process. For example, mention specific topics covered in your interview. This shows you were being attentive and really listening to the conversation. You can also set yourself apart, and engage with the company on social media. Or even send your interviewer an article that relates to the company. This will show you are engaged with the industry, and the company.
